How does the CuZn UC-100 filters

1. Water flows under your home's normal pressure through a bed of KDF and activated carbon. 

2. KDF media is good at chlorine and heavy metals, while the activated carbon handles chlorine, taste, odor, and organic compounds. 

3. Because it filters rather than strips, beneficial minerals stay in the water, and because there is no membrane, there is no wastewater and no need for electricity or a storage tank.

What does the CuZn UC-100 actually reduces, and how it is verified

This is the part to read carefully. The UC-100 is certified to NSF/ANSI 42 and 372, which cover the reduction of chlorine, taste, and odor, and confirm the system's materials are lead-free. That certification is genuine, but it is the same point we make across this collection: it covers chlorine and materials, not the removal of PFAS or lead.

CuZn does claim that the UC-100 reduces PFAS, PFOS, and lead through its KDF and carbon media, and there is a real basis for that, since carbon can adsorb some PFAS and KDF can capture some heavy metals.
